The assembly (Fig. 3) has a trio of inline cathodes (21), a first grid (G1, 23) positioned adjacent the cathodes and a second grid (G2, 25) positioned between the first grid and a first focussing electrode (G3, 27). Each grid and electrode has a trio of inline apertures aligned with the cathodes. A common, assymmetric focussing lens is, in use, established between the first focussing electrode (G3) and a second focussing electrode (G4, 29). The lens has a maximum transverse dimension in a first direction parallel to the plane of the inline apertures greater than its maximum transverse dimension in a second orthogonal direction. In order that the cross-section of each electron beam has a greater dimension in the first direction than in the second direction at the beam- entrance of the lens, there is a slotted structure (Fig. 7, 68) associated with said first (23) grid interposing a rectangular slot (68) between each aperture (64) of the first grid and the aligned aperture of the second grid. Claims (1) [1] Claim A color picture tube made with an evacuated flask that includes a screen section, a screen of the CRT screen, a cylindrical throat section and a conical section connecting it to the screen section, and also containing a coplanar type electronic projector placed inside the throat section, consisting of two focusing electrodes with aperture holes, and self-diverting deflecting system, covering the adjacent zones of the neck and conical sections of the flask and made with lower-saddle mi and cadre toroidal deflecting coils, while at the ends of the focusing electrodes facing each other, the aperture holes are made at the ends of the ends that are deepened relative to the outermost rims of the electrodes, in order to increase the efficiency of the g deflection of the electron beams while maintaining the quality of focusing x and electric strength, the center-to-center distance between adjacent aperture holes in each of the focusing electrodes is less than the value · ϋ · ίβθ + 5.08, mm, where ϋ is the distance between the main focusing lens and the centers of deviation, mm; θ - the angle between the electron-optical axes of the central and lateral electron beams in the area along their course after the chapters · ‘Noah lenses and the inner diameter deflecting the system at its output is less than the value of 0.762 mm multiplied by the number of degrees of maximum deviation. 1613004 Fig.Z I
